A gathering with purpose at St Giles House
The Realisation Festival is a new immersive retreat taking place at St Giles House, Dorset. A gathering of thinkers, doers, disruptors, pioneers and change makers. The Realisation Festival is an opportunity to share stories, encourage social change and meet new people over a life-changing set of 3 days.
St Giles House required a brand identity and website for The Realisation Festival that complemented the existing St Giles House brand (also designed by MEGA).

The concept behind the festival is inspired by Lord Shaftesbury’s (12th Earl of Shaftesbury) ancestor – the 3rd Earl of Shaftesbury. Bildung is the philosophical concept that underpins the event and the original incarnation of the Festival.
It is a direct translation of the Germanic word ‘Formation’. In addition to the new brand identity, we created a series of spot illustrations to inform the attendees about the event. Our intention was to create a brand that felt contemporary, distinctive and friendly with illustrations (in collaboration with Aron Leah) that connect people and the natural world.
The logo is both representative of the festival and St Giles house and is made up of three elements — A book, which represents ‘knowledge’, a tree that is symbolic of ‘transformation’ and finally the wings of Aeros. The memorial that was erected to commemorate the philanthropic works of Anthony Ashley Cooper, 7th Earl of Shaftesbury
Each illustration became a visual metaphor for the core values of the festival while complimenting the master logo.

Having worked with Andy for several years, I would highly recommend him and MEGA for any creative design work. I have always been extremely impressed by the quality of their work. We’ve undertaken several branding and design projects at St.Giles House and the results are fantastic.
